Jamie Cullum in Balaia Golf Village (Albufeira) - 22 of August
In August, the voice of British artist Jamie Cullum can once again be heard in Portugal. Singer, composer, pianist, guitarist and drummer, Jamie Cullum will be returning to Portugal to perform as part of the “Allgarve ’10” programme. He will be presenting “The Pursuit”, his latest album, which was released in November 2009 and features the combined pop/jazz version of the Rihanna original, “Don’t Stop the Music”.
“Life is one long pursuit”, says the artist, speaking on his official website about the name “The Pursuit”, a work in which he combines his eclectic taste in music with his love for the sounds of jazz.
His début disc, “Heard it All Before” was released in 1999. That edition comprised only 500 copies, which quickly sold out. Today, four albums later, (one of which was the best ever seller in the UK of a studio version by a jazz musician), an original copy of that first album can be sold for as much as 700 euros at online auctions.
